Employment Type: Casual
Hours per Week: Monday - Saturday (flexible scheduling based on class assignments)
Location: Wembley, Woodvale, and/or Cockburn
Award: Miscellaneous Award Level 2
Pay Rate: $35 - $40 per hour

Position Summary
PAPA Teachers are responsible for leading and engaging students in structured stage acting, film acting and musical theatre classes. This role fosters a supportive and dynamic learning environment that aligns with PAPA’s student-centered approach and core values.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, structured, and interactive classes for students of varying age groups and skill levels.

Utilize PAPA’s lesson plans and choreography while also incorporating personal creative teaching techniques.

Encourage inclusive participation, ensuring every student feels valued and has the opportunity to grow.

Develop students’ confidence, creativity, and communication skills through performance-based learning.

Provide positive and constructive feedback to help students develop their skills.

Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment, maintaining high standards of classroom management.

Collaborate with senior staff and other teachers to uphold PAPA’s mission and values.

Assist with school holiday workshops during April, July, September/October, and January.

Attend team meetings, training sessions, and PAPA events as required.
Technical Skills & Qualifications

Teaching experience in theatre, acting, or performing arts (especially with ages 4-17 years) preferred.

Strong classroom management skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.

Basic singing, dancing, and acting experience (preferred but not mandatory).

Ability to motivate and inspire students while nurturing their creative potential.

Passion for creating an engaging, supportive, and inclusive environment
Essential Requirements

WA Driver’s License and reliable vehicle for travel between locations.

Ability to obtain a Working With Children Check (WWCC).
