We are so excited for this masterclass run by Graeme Isaako. Currently in Perth performing in Moulin Rouge the Musical, Graeme made his Musical Theatre debut in Cameron Mackintosh’s 2002 production of Oliver! playing Dipper. He appeared in Simon Gallagher’s The Mikado as Nanki-Poo and Disney’s The Lion King understudying the role of Simba. Graeme toured Australia in Disney’s Aladdin and took over the title role for the Auckland & Singapore seasons. Graeme trained at Janice Breen Performance Studio and Urban Dance Centre. He was a popular contestant on So You Think You Can Dance Australia season one and competed in 2020 on The Voice featuring in Team Delta. Recent projects include the Elvis Presley film directed by Baz Luhrmann and Moulin Rouge the Musical.
This workshop will consist of real up close and personal backstage experience of what it’s like to be in a professional musical theatre show. Graeme will share insights on the masks/puppetry that is used in the Lion King Musical, explore animal instincts used in your character building. Learn choreography combos from the show and sing numbers from the show!
Graeme will answer all your questions about agents, how to audition, show nerves and touring life.
